The interior design blog Glassveranda was established in mid-June 2009, because I wanted to share with you my big passion in life: Houses and interior design.
Me and my husband bought a small and old Swiss Chalet styled house. After 12 years of hard work, the total building area is 590 m². We have really enjoyed the work, cried a little sometimes, but mostly enjoyed the adventure! You may read about our house building project here: "12 years of hard work".
I love antique-white furniture, delicate antique-white vitrine cabinets displaying tableware and porcelain, sand- and soil colours, whitepainted deep windowsills, whitepainted decorative windows- and door casings, art glass, lithographs and airy rooms with high ceilings and lots of windows allowing daylight in, and offer garden views. I prefer natural materials; wood flooring, parquet, marble, granite, painted wooden furniture, oiled oak Provence-style furniture, cotton and flax. I always choose a design, colours, materials, lights, art and interior accessories with a desire to create a genuine, harmonic and complete, and last but not least, a functional, solid and durable, interior.
Here on the interior design blog Glassveranda you will find thousands of photoes and great ideas, tips and inspiration for your home! I hope you will enjoy this blog! Welcome to Glassveranda!
